I have a gentle, caring nature. I love my family and friends, and am always willing to help those in need. I do need a bit of TLC sometimes due to my bipolar, but I have been stable for over a year now. I love children and I love my animals. I am calm, honest and sincere.

Intended Parents preferences

I had postnatal depression after my son was born. I was then diagnosed with bipolar and have been on various medication and antidepressants for the past 6 years.The medication would harm the foetus if I had to fall pregnant and go through the pregnancy still taking the meds. The risk is very high that I could relapse into depression if I go off the meds during pregnancy, and severe depression would also harm the baby. There is also a high risk of postnatal depression. My other worry is that I have a lower back problem which may complicate pregnancy.

I have been thinking of many ways of being able to have a baby. My husband has also said that he wants another child, but it makes me sad, because I worry how I would handle pregnancy with all the complications of my bipolar disorder. I would love to find a caring person who wants to help me. I wish I could carry another child, but I don't want to hurt it with medication that I need to keep my depression at bay. If I get depressed, it could also hurt the baby. I want to give another child the best chance of being healthy and happy. And I would love to be able to enjoy a little one without the problems I had with my first child (postnatal depression) I am now 36, and I want to give my son another sibling - he deserves this experience. I don't know what else to say - except that I am going to need someone's help to have another healthy baby.
