I am unable to have children as a result of ovarian cancer. 9 years ago, I met a truly unique man. We both deeply wanted to have a child. Without success, I underwent a fertility treatment. It is this, perhaps, that precipitated the cancer. 5 years ago, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. This unique man has stood by me faithfully through all this and committed to me for all the future, even if it means he cannot have children. The gift I would like to give to our couple is to allow him to have his own child and to be a mother to his child as if it were my own. To share with this child all the love that has been given to me by this exceptional man.
