My Letter To Surrogate Mother, Egg Donor Or Sperm Donor:

Dear Gestational Surrogate, Our whole journey into surrogacy actually started almost a year and a half ago when I almost lost my life after giving birth to my one and only daughter. I had an emergency C-section that resulted in me losing blood profusely. After 6 hours of surgery, the only way the doctors were able to stop the bleeding and save my life was by performing a hysterectomy. I was devastated as we were planning to have a large family, 3 kids at least. While my husband was relieved that I survived at all, for me it was mostly a blur of a night that led to a terrible new reality. We are hoping to find someone loving who maintains a healthy lifestyle and is open to on-going communication throughout the journey. We realize what a huge sacrifice this would be for anyone and will always be respectful of the boundaries set to make them as comfortable as possible.
