Kevin recently turned 31 and grew up in a small village outside of Geneva, Switzerland surrounded by a loving family. Both of his parents still live over there along with his younger brother, who recently added a baby boy to his family. Having spent most of his childhood summers in Canada with his extended family his parents are originally from Canada, he always knew that Canada would be home for him one day. Once Kevin finished High School, he moved to Toronto to attend the University of Toronto. Since graduating, he mostly worked as a consultant, which involved a lot of travel for work. For about three years, we were both on the road 80 of the time. We now both reached a point where we are ready to settle down and have a bit more stability in our lives. Although Kevin’s parents are overseas, we know we can always count on them and couldn’t ask for more supportive parents. Kevin is also blessed with a huge and loving extended family here in Toronto. Alim is 38 years old and was born in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. His family immigrated to Canada in 1984 following the political unrest in the country at that time. He has an older sister who lives in Toronto as well as his mother and her husband. We are fortunate to have them close by which will sure be handy once the family is expanded. He attended the University of Toronto for his undergrad and completed his MBA at Royal Roads University in Victoria. Professionally, he is a senior HR executive in Financial Services. He’s happy to be in a role that no longer requires travel and provides his with a short commute to work and significant flexibility. Travel has allowed us to explore and understand other cultures and we intend to pass that passion onto our children. Both of us feel that it is important to raise children who are open to the diversity of different people, cultures and religions and use travel as a tool for education.

Intended Parents preferences

In December, 2014, we were blessed with adding a baby girl to our family through surrogacy. She was born in British Columbia through the kind support of a wonderful surrogate who continues to be a friend to us. Already 8 months old, she has brought so much to our lives and to our extended family. She loves to smile and laugh and is very calm and alert. It truly has been a life changing experience and we are very keen to provide a sibling for her.
