I have not yet found a life-partner and after several years of deep consideration, I have decided to follow my heart's desire to be a mother, to give my love to a child, to create my own family. I have the support of many friends as well as a solidly successful career and a lot of love to give.

Message from this intended parent

Ever since I was 19 years old, all I ever wanted was to be a mother. It is a desire that is in every fiber of my being. However, I have always believed in 2 parents raising a child, I have always believed in a parent staying home for the first 2-6 years of a child's life depending on the child. And now I am finally faced with the reality of my age....it is humbling. Over the last several years, I have deeply considered all the ethical, social and personal factors in raising children in a 2-parent family versus a single parent family. I have seen most of my friends grow apart or end marriages. I have had hundreds of conversations with all my friends, my family, with colleagues and with strangers to gather all the different perspectives. Without fail, everyone has said and I have observed the same thing. Raising a child is insanely challenging no matter what your circumstances. It takes everything. It is always what I have wanted. My career was only a second option because I hadn't found the right circumstance yet. And now I have hit my 40's. I know that I will deeply regret not trying. I am scared...frightened to the core. But I have never wanted anything as much as this. And I am supported by everyone around me. And so, now, I hope...
