I live in an upscale urban neighborhood within walking distance of excellent schools, several parks, and a variety of stores, restaurants, entertainment, and cultural attractions, and that is clean and has a very low crime rate. For the last 8 years, I have leased the same private apartment while finishing school and working to save enough money to buy a home someday for my future child. My hobbies and interests include: Family & Friends - I talk with my parents and friends often and visit as much as I can. I go out with friends to social events, to eat, and just to have conversation. I go out of town to visit relatives and take trips with my parents whenever I have time off from work. I look forward to getting my child involved with family and friends, holidays and special events, and to enjoy life and be surrounded with love. Exercise - Martial arts, running, lifting weights, bike riding, swimming, and gymnastics are how I've stayed thin and strong all my life. I plan on teaching my child to exercise and stay healthy all her life. Cooking - I love to cook, especially special meals like having big breakfast on Sundays. I eat plenty of fresh veggies, seafood, pasta, juices, fruits, nuts, and berries, and even homemade brownies. I can't wait to bake for my baby and let her lick the leftover chocolate from the bowl : ) Cleaning - Although this isn't really a hobby, keeping my home clean and comfortable is important to me. I'm always dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, etc. and I have an air cleaner, new AC, heater, etc. Nature - I love to hike in the woods or even just local parks to see different types of trees, lakes & creeks, and all the beauty of being outdoors. I love animals and want to teach my child to respect all living creatures no matter if they are pets, birds, fish, insects, or even lizards and snakes. Reading - I own hundreds of books about English literature, history, math & science, child development & psychology, mythology & religion, animals & nature, and technology/computers. I learned to read very early from comics. I've collected them all my life and I want to share that with my child. Education is very important to me–I want my child to love to read and I will read to them all the time. Movies & TV - Mostly I watch sci-fi, family movies, foreign films, documentaries, and educational shows about history, animals, and science. I'm not into horror movies or so called "reality" shows. I admit I still watch cartoons now and then and hope to share that with my child very soon! Misc - I also play some video games (not too much), go for a drive now and then, and I love to work with my hands. My dad is a carpenter and I enjoy working with him to build antique style dressers, shelves, and other neat stuff. I'm not into football, baseball, etc. because I would rather go outside and play sports than watch them on TV. Besides, I would rather spend that time with my kid! As much as I love all my family, it really hurts inside that, over the years, I have watched so many nieces, nephews, little cousins, and even grandkids grow up but I've never had a child of my own. I've babysat lots of times, but now I'm waiting and hoping for a baby of my own so I can care for and love them and show them off at the next family reunion and let everyone spoil them. I can't wait for it to happen : )
