I am 40 years old and happily married to my husband of 8 years. I have a 5 year old daughter who is my sunshine. I am a civil rights attorney turned non profit director. I work with kids on a daily basis who have experienced unimaginable hardship. I very much want the opportunity to give a child the love every child deserves. We enjoy hiking, biking and skiing and love the outdoors.

We have been trying to conceive for 4 years and nothing is working. I have had six surgeries on my uterus and my doctor thinks that all the procedures have made it difficult for an embryo to implant. We have done 3 rounds of IVF and countless rounds of IUIs. I have a 5 year old daughter and she has been begging us for a baby brother or sister since she could talk.

First, thank you for even taking the time to read this. The fact that you are considering being a surrogate or an egg donor says volumes about the kind of person you are. I consider myself to be a good person too and nothing gives me greater joy than being a mother to my 5 year old daughter. She is my inspiration because she lives each day to the fullest, is delighted by the simple things in life and treats everyone with kindness. Since she could talk she has been asking me when she would get to meet her baby brother or sister. She sings to her dolls, feeds them, lovingly bathes and feeds them, and makes sure they are snuggly and warm at night. I have long imagined what it would be like to finally tell her that her dream of being a big sister were coming true. I even bought her a t-shirt that said ‘Big Sister’ on it. It’s too small for her now but I can’t part with it yet. We have been trying to conceive since she was one. I had a miscarriage because one doctor told me to stop taking progesterone. Since that miscarriage I have been keeping myself positive by saying it was just a matter of time before we conceived again. Since then I have had multiple surgeries to my uterus and have done countless IUIs and 3 rounds of IVF. Nothing works. My new doctor believes that our best shot of having a child is through surrogate and/or egg donor. I think it’s really our only shot now. By being our surrogate, you would make us the happiest parents in the world- and our daughter the happiest big sister. You would help bring a child into the world who would be showered with love.
