We are a queer couple living in Vancouver island. Perspective mom grew up in the cowichan valley and is a Two Spirt, Métis, Musican and artist and Farmer with a passion for conservation, animals, and growing food. Perspective Doda (like dad but not) grew up on the east coast and is a Trans Non-binary social worker, counselor, educator and advocate, who also loves music, art, animals and bringing people to the land to help them heal. We have one little miracle we have been blessed with, and would love to expand our family with the right fit.

Intended Parents preferences

My partner and I spent over 3 years on our fertility journey, with much difficulty. During our journey, and more than 9 failed IUIs and one failed egg retrieval, we were gifted 10 embryos to move forward in our journey. We had one vile left of our donor sperm and decided to use it for one last IUI before moving on to the donor embryos; and my partner miraculously got pregnant. After conceiving our son however, she went through a tramatic birth and developed post pardum preeclampsia, resulting in weeks long hospitalization and intensive treatment. Being that my partner had been told getting pregnant again (if it even possible) would be very risky, we’ve decided not to temp fate and put her in a medically precarious situation. We would like to expand our family and have 10 viable embryos in storage at our clinic waiting for a surrogate to carry for us.

Dear potential surrogate First of all we want to thank you for deciding to go on this incredible vunerable journey. Deciding to offer up such a selfless gift to those who are unable to carry for whatever reason, is remarkable. We only hope we can give a child every opportunity to be surrounded by love and support and they grow in our care. Being adopted from the foster care system, as an infant, into a loving family; I know first hand that bonds of family are often thicker than blood. Also being a queer couple we always knew that we both wouldn’t have biological ties to our children but would always love them more fiercely than anything. If you choose us, like many you will be making our dreams come true. However you will have the opportunity to help a unique lgbtq2s+ and Indigenous family heal past generations, and create powerful,loving,kind and empathetic future ones. We will raise our children to love and respect all, and teach them the importance of community and connection. We are willing to share more of our story with you if it is a fit and are looking forward to hearing your story, of what lead you to this journey. We are also prepared to cover all medical expenses needed to make this journey easy and successful. We are so looking forward to connecting. All our graditude and appreciation.
