Why We/I Want A Surrogate Mother, Egg Donor Or Sperm Donor:
Severe endometriosis & adenomyosis prevents me from getting pregnant & carrying a child |
Description Of Us:
Hi we are Steve (36yrs), Amanda (41yrs) & Kaea (6yrs). We are a small, happy family who live on the Nth Shore in AKL. We are just your average joe bloggs kiwi family, work, school, play, beach etc.
Amanda works at House of Travel in Milford AKL, Steve is a manager in the roading industry & Kaea has recently started school (very exciting....well not for mummy).
We have a loving extended family, with a great supportive nana & grandad very near by in AKL, who are great for sleepovers. Steve's family live north of Gisborne & we have a range of aunties, uncles, nannies & papa's & cousins who all love Kaea very dearly, even though they dont get to see him nearly enough (horrible 10hr drive). Steve is of Ngati Porou descent which adds a lovely touch to ours family.

My Letter To Surrogate Mother, Egg Donor Or Sperm Donor:
Amanda was diagnosed in 2003 with severe endometriosis. We had a round of IVF & our lovely son was born in 2004, 6 wks prem. We never in a million years thought this would not happen so easily again, but boy were we in for a few years of heartache. Next came a ruptured ectopic afer lipiodol flushing. Amanda fell pg naturally, however ended up in emergency which ended all hopes of falling pg naturally again. Not defeated we launched optimistically into another round of IVF. Suprisingly this ended up in a twin pgncy which devestatingly ended in m/c. More IVF & another BFP & another m/c on Xmas eve (not a happy xmas). More ivf & 2 more m/c - when is enough, enough, when even your doctors tell you they have tried everything possible & its just not working.
Which leads us here. This has not been an easy decision for us to come to & we know that this journey will not be without its challenges also. But the love for our most precious son & the desire to enrich his life with a sibling to share his life with keeps us going for him.
Hope this is not too much blabbering on, if we have left anything out please feel free to ask. Thanks for reading & we all look forward to chatting & getting to know you
