Dear Surrogate I admire your courage and strength, as well as commitment to helping those of us that are unfortunate to experience pregnancy and the birth of a child. I have been dealt a lot in my life, and each time I have survived better and stronger. Finding out that I would not be able to carry full term IF I were to become pregnant has to be the most devastating news I could have received. My husband and I work full time. We have our mortgage like many folks, and whenever we can, we try to vacation. Money is not a huge surplus in our life, and we are not even sure that we will be able to afford the fees associated with surrogacy, which would be a second round of devastation for us, however, we would make exceptional parents - we have the support of our families and are committed to doing whatever we can to build our family.
