Message from the intended parents

I have a rare hereditary condition called beta thalassaemia and require monthly blood transfusion because i dont produce enough blood of my own. This treatment has caused adverse effects on my health such as iron overload of the organs such as the heart and destroying of the hormone producing pituitary gland. Since marrying, the specialists gave me a glimmer of hope of trying to concieve naturally. I had to come off all my medication which controls the iron overload and started ovulation induction therapy. I had 4 trys that all failed as the lining of my womb was too thin for the folicle to attach itself (if it got fertilized) I later became very breathless, but continued to work in a hospital as an anaesthetic theatre practitioner. It was found that i had heart failure and a leaking heart valve. I had open heart surgery to repair this and it was explained to me that it would be detrimental to my health to carry my own baby. I knew this before but just plodded on. I have 2 sisters and 1 brother who have achieved families so easily and i love them to bits, but i long for my own.and we have had to be very strong to continue fighting for our dream despite all the disappointment and set backs. I am lucky to be healthy now feel that surrogacy is now our only option of ever having the children we've always dreamed of and think all surrogates are amazing women and pray our future involves one willing to help us. Darren and I love children and nothing in life means more to us. I cannot put into words what it would mean to have our own child. We think its amazing that there might be someone out there willing to help us in this way. We feel that the Surrogate's needs and wishes would be a priority to us, and would be the most important person in this process. I would love to get to know that special someone and build a lifelong friendship to help support each other through our potential journey.
