About this intended parent profile

In a nutshell this is how I see myself. First and foremost I have a very good sense of humour and can always see the funny side of life and laugh very easily. I am a very loving and affectionate person - pretty much the glass is always half filled and life is happy and wonderful. I am confident, happy, self motivated. I am also a very determined and strong person who loves being with my friends and family and doing interesting things. My real gift is in the creative world and just love being around people. I have an incredible job working with friends in which I can use everything that I studied which is so lucky (Honours in Fine Art, Fashion Design and Corporate Life Coaching). I love children and thankfully have had the benefit of my sisters and step siblings children. Having not had any children of my own I never stopped longing and wishing that someday I can have the true happiness of a family that I see my friends and own family treasuring and enjoying. I feel very blessed in the incredible life and journey I have had up to now, so I have always tried to be accepting of not having children. I always thought since God did not give me a child that I would meet someone who had children of their own and I would live happily ever after...but I am still waiting for that.

Dear Surrogate Mother and Donors, What you will be doing is a true gift of life. It is hard to imagine what people go through when they are unable to have children and a family of their own. You can be in a relationship and have a husband, but children are the true ingredient of love and ultimately take you from being a couple to being a family. It is funny how life throws you these curve balls, but being a woman, you never dream that one day you will not have a child. Just by being a woman you think it is your divine and God given right. But life has taught me differently. My saving grace has been my sisters and friends having children and I have been able to be a big part of that, which has been very special to me. I realize now that I can't afford to wait for my knight in shining armour to arrive and make life perfect, before I have a child, as I might miss this incredible opportunity to be a mother. Life is not always the way we want it, but we have to accept that sometimes things don't happen in a traditional and conventional order no matter how much we would like that. I have so much love and energy to give and I feel that it is never too late to follow my dreams. I realize as I get older it is basically now or never and somehow I just cannot bring myself to contemplate or live with never. I want to say to everyone who will be a part of my journey to motherhood that the word "thank you" from the bottom of my heart for this unbelievable gift just does not seem enough or adequate to what I am thinking and feeling emotionally. This means the world and everything to me and will make my life complete.
