As a lesbian couple, we've established wanting a family of our own. Although we have discussed using a male friend as a donor, we've decided that it wasnt the best choice for our family in the future.

Message from the intended parents

Dear potential donor, Although it is still in many ways frowned upon to have same sex couples raise a child, please look at these facts. A child raised raised by same sex parents will know they are loved, wanted and planned. They will be loved and cared for like any other child. They will be loved regardless of how they identify themselves when they reach sexual maturity. We will raise them to be respectful, have morals and values and teach them to strive to be at there personal best and to know the difference between right and wrong, too make the right choices even if there are the only ones to do so. We will teach them its okay to make mistakes, but in doing so to be honest and when they need help to ask. Having a famliy is something we've discussed at lengths, ensuring that we are on the same page in regards to rasing a child, and more importantly if we are ready. Now that we have found the path in life we wish to follow we both feel the only thing missing is a child.
