I am a healthy, active 47 year old single woman (divorced). I work out, eat right and am a non-smoker. I have a college education and currently am employed in the gaming industry, which allows quite a bit of flexibility in work hours, offers full benefits and a decent wage. I left my marriage after realizing that my dreams of being a mother would not become reality. I have spent the past three years rebuilding in hopes that one day I would have the chance to have a child of my own.

First and foremost let me say thank you for all you do as a surrogate! The gift you offer women such as myself is beyond words. Now, my story: I always wanted to be a mother. I come from a large extended family and my childhood included huge family gatherings at every birthday and holiday. I have four neices and nephews who I absolutely adore! I just always assumed I would also one day have a large family. I married a man who was unable to have children but promised we could try alternative measures to have a family. However, he would quietly and subtly sabotage every effort I put forth...from missing doctors appts, losing forms repeatedly, spilling or spoiling specimens, you name it. Finally, years later I realized that if I wanted a child, it was going to be without him. I left the marriage and in retaliation he destroyed my credit. I have spent the past three years rebuilding my life, never losing hope that I would someday have a child of my own. I am turning 47 in two months, and although my sister and my best friend both believe I would be able to conceive and carry a child, I am very concerned about the health concerns to my baby and I feel that should override any desire I have to conceive myself. I have a partner/sperm donor but need a surrogate to fulfill my dreams. I am of Irish/Scottish heritage and so is the father. I would love to find a surrogate with some irish or scottish bloodlines but it is not imperative. I would prefer a surrogate with good health insurance, who is in good health, does not smoke and already has a child of their own. Also I would love to have someone who lives in Colorado as i would like to go to doctor visits and such. I would like to be part of the process if that is at all possible. if it is too uncomfortable, I would certainly understand. I am willing to pay for missed wages, clothing ,travel expenses, and non-covered medical expenses. Other fees and costs are certainly up for discussion. Children mean everything to me, I feel they are the most precious part of life and if they is someone out there willing to help me....once again words could not convey my appreciation and joy!
