We are a happy gay couple who has been together for 12 years and we are seriously thinking of pursuing a GS. I am HIV+ positive but having a very healthy lifestyle and fully fit physically and mentally and we both are well-educated and have great careers. Currently I am residing and being a citizen of a South-east Asian country where I intended to do my GS. The agent I contacted is professional, international and has a solid track records of successful GS with HIV+ IP using his own sperm. The scientific research journals and articles I reviewed also give me a confidence in the process. The agent also provides a pool of SMs who is willing to do this for me. My only problem is that having the same nationality as a SM (unlike ED, the agent only have local SMs) complicates the matters concerning the parental rights under the law of my country. On the contrary, the law doesn't particularly limited nor mentioned anything about the rights when one or both parent is of foreign nation and that is probably why my country is popular among other IP (I don't want to bore you with details of the laws). In short, the advice from my attorney is to find a SM who is a foreigner and willing to travel 2 times to my town for IVF and shortly before the delivery of the child and this is the purpose of my thread here.
