We are a warm and vibrant couple that have been together for over 16 years. Together we have moved to the UK and created a life for ourselves here. We are very different to each other in our character and yet very similar in what we want from life and how we love spending our days. When we put our minds to something we will do all that it takes to achieve it in the best way possible and we always support each other in the process. This was true to moving to the UK, to rebuilding our new house here and very much to the surrogacy process we have been through 6 years ago. Sadly this was also true to the very challenging period we have been through when our son suffered a severe brain injury following meningitis, the five and a half beautiful and yet challenging years he was on this planet and his recent passing. We love spending time with good friends and do it very regularly. It can be at home, in a nice pub or in the park/strolling along the river. We love travelling and seeing new places and did it a lot prior to the birth of our son. We also love coming back home to our little corner of the world. We can often see things differently to each other... but we always work on our relationship in order to understand, accept and embrace our differences so that we can live in harmony.

Message from this intended parents

Dear potential surrogate mother and egg donor Our names are Raphael and Amit and we are writing this short letter to ask for your help and generosity. We have been together for over 16 years and from the word go we knew we would want to have a family and raise children together. 8 years ago we started the journey to parenthood. At first we worked with a traditional surrogate who sadly lost 2 pregnancies. We then employed the services of a US surrogacy agency and with the help of a wonderful surrogate mother had our son Eli. Despite bureaucratic challenges we felt like we were the luckiest and happiest couple in the world until 3 months later Eli contracted bacterial meningitis and nearly lost his life. Our brave little boy survived the ordeal but was left with a severe brain injury. This has clearly changed the course of our lives but we faced the challenges together and have worked every day to make the most of what we had and enjoyed and very much loved Eli and his very special being. Sadly a few months ago Eli decided he “had enough” and passed away peacefully in his sleep. We miss our boy every hour of the day, but know and accept he is in a better place whatever the place is… About a year ago, while Eli was still with us, we finally felt ready to “move on” with our plans and bring another child to the world. We always dreamt of having a number of kids and we look fwd to making this dream a reality. We know that this would bring light, joy and love to our lives. We hope our words will resonate with you and look forward to the opportunity to meet you and get to know you. We are already grateful for all the little and big things you might do for us and feel ready to be there for you and support you in any way you wish or is necessary during the process.
