My name is Lindsey, I’m 33 years old and was born 9 in Bradford where I have lived all my life. As a child, my parents described me as confident, independent and strong-willed! I am a people person and prefer to be around friends and loved ones although I do appreciate a bit of time to myself now and again too. I left school at 16 with 9 GCSE’s not really knowing what I wanted to do (I had a part time job at Little Chef from the age of 14 so went full time while I figured things out). At 17 I trained as a Dental Nurse and worked in this role until the age of 21 when I achieved my best accomplishment to date- the birth of my amazing son, who is now 11 years old. I stopped working when my son was born and used some of my spare time during this period to do a basic accounting course. When my son started school I went back to work as an Accounts Assistant. I am now currently working as a part qualified accountant, where I prepare the monthly Management Accounts for a textile dying company and run the overall accounts function for the company too whilst studying to become fully qualified. Although it is not most people’s cup of tea, I can honestly say I really enjoy the work I do. As I mentioned, I have a son. He is my whole world and I couldn’t imagine life without him (which is partly my motivation for wanting to help a family struggling to conceive). He is really funny, full of life, loving, sensitive, thoughtful and a joy to be around and I know he would do anything to help another person if he could. I currently live with my partner of 8 years and my son . In my spare time I enjoy travelling, going to the gym around 5 times a week, shopping (I’m very good at this!), reading, yoga, meditation, extreme sports (bungee jumping, white water rafting, canyon swing (not done this one yet!)) and spending time with family and friends. In a few words I would describe my personality as positive, impulsive, caring, passionate and sensitive. I also asked my two best friends to describe me in 3 words and they said: - Funny, strong, loyal, trustworthy, sincere and understanding. I also asked my son and he said: - Awesome, nice and caring! (I may have to ask people this question more often!). I would describe myself as spiritual but not religious- although I am very keen on the concepts of Buddhism. I also respect everybody’s right to follow/believe in any religion they wish.
