The Reasons I Want To Be A Surrogate Mother:

My cousin has Turner Syndrome and is unable to have children. I have seen first hand the emotional toll this has taken on her throughout her life, and wish to help a family in a similar situation realize their dream of starting a family.

Description Of Myself:

I am a 25 y/o fun loving woman who sees the cup and most definitely half full :) I am blessed to have an amazing family. I am engaged to the love of my life. He is very supportive of my decision to pursue this and is thrilled! I love to laugh, sing, dance in the rain, and stop and smell the roses :D I enjoy being physically active, cooking a good (healthy) meal, and taking the dog out for walks around the lake. I have a 2 y/o daughter and soon to be 4 y/o stepdaughter whom I love with all my heart. I am a full time student in nursing school and also work from home as a medical transcriptionist. I love what I do but can't wait to get into the nursing field and really feel like I am helping out.

Dear IP's: I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to write to you. I am overwhelmed with emotions, wondering what you might be going through right now. I wonder how much anguish you have had to experience to get to this leg of your journey, and I hope strongly that I might help you feel complete by assisting in your dream of bringing life into this world. A little about me... I have always been a go-getter. I love to smile, sing as often as possible, and look at each day as an opportunity to build upon the treasures that are already in my life and to always learn. In my spare time (what's that, right?) I enjoy reading. Mainly self-improvement or parenting books. I believe that our bodies and minds are powerful, and that the more we understand about ourselves the more we can try to understand others. I also love to be outdoors, working out at the gym, taking the dog for a walk around the lake, or playing a good board game with the kids or fiancé. My fiancé is the most wonderful man I have ever met. He works for Apple and is a true nerd, and he amazes me with his endless knowledge of seemingly useless things, not to mention the important ones! ;) He is dedicated to us, his family, works very hard, and is truly the most generous person I know. His compassion for others is apparent in every situation. He is also a wonderful father. We each have a child from another relationship. My daughter just turned two, and his is almost four. They are a bunch of characters! They are about as different as two children could be, and it's lovely to get to experience them in different ways. My daughter is laughter in its purest form. She is outgoing, talkative, and very very inquisitive. She wants to know "why" everything is the way it is, and will ask you any chance she gets. She's the type of kid who falls and laughs it off, but will still let you kiss her boo-boo if you ask her :) She loves to sing almost as much as I, and the night wouldn't be complete without lullaby's and story time. She adores learning, and embraces all the little things in life, even the slugs and bugs. My finance's daughter is much quieter, but nonetheless just as inquisitive. She has a vivid imagination that can bring back memories of my childhood in an instant. She loves to dance and feels music in a way I only wish I could! She thinks before she speaks, and her resolve as a child of 3 1/2 floors me. She is a bit slow to warm up, but it's because she wants you to earn her trust first. I wouldn't trade either for the world. Our favorite activities are coloring, going to the zoo, taking day trips anywhere our car will allow us, and sometimes places it wont! Easy hikes for the kids are common, as are trips to new restaurants, live music events, and lots and lots of playgrounds. We also have an Australian Shepherd whom we adore, and dog park trips are a necessity and provide a ton of entertainment for the kids. We love crafts, dancing, music, and lots of swimming when the weather is right. It is my sincerest wish that I get to know you better. I cannot imagine the emotions surrounding your situation, but I wish to. I know that if we click and I am able to help you in this journey, I will want to share as much as possible with you. I want you to be able to experience this as much as you can, and I know that you will feel a multitude of emotions in not being able to carry your own child. I know it will be a process of grieving and celebration, of jealousy and thrill, and I welcome the opportunity to experience as much of this with you as you are willing to share, and vice versa.
