I want to become a surrogate because I’ve been blessed to have my boys, without them I can’t say my life would be the same, they are my joy. I am a firm believer that family is important, and there is no love like the unconditional love from a child. I also believe that pregnancy is a beautiful thing, however I do not plan on having anymore of my own children. Dear Intended Parents, I wanted to introduce myself and see if I might be someone you’d be open to connecting with. My name is Felisa, I’m 29, and I currently live in Northern California Eureka, Humboldt County. I grew up in Jamaica, New York, and much of my family and close support system still lives in New York. Because of that, if travel to New Jersey were part of the journey, it would honestly be amazing for me—I’d be able to go through this experience while also spending meaningful time with my family and friends, which is very important to me. I’m a mom to three sons, and they truly are my world. I’ve had three full-term, healthy pregnancies with no complications, and pregnancy has always been a positive and beautiful experience for me. Because of that, I’ve felt called to help another family experience parenthood. I’ve explored working with agencies, but the process has been discouraging due to disqualifications that don’t reflect my actual pregnancy or birth history. Because of this, I’ve been considering independent surrogacy, both to form a more personal connection and because I believe it can also help intended parents save on agency-related costs while still moving forward safely and intentionally. I’ve also considered egg donation. While I don’t currently meet the qualifications for it, I remain open to that possibility. However, surrogacy is where my heart truly is, and for the most part I do meet the qualifications. I want to be upfront that my BMI is currently 32, and I am actively working to lower it through lifestyle and dietary changes I’ve already put in place. My pregnancy history has been uncomplicated and healthy, and I’m committed to doing everything needed to meet clinic requirements. Helping someone become parents feels incredibly meaningful to me. Pregnancy has its challenging days, but nothing compares to coming home to your little person—seeing their smiles, watching them grow, learn, and develop their own personalities.
