Message from this surrogate mother
Hi Everyone, My name is Nicole. I live in LeMars Iowa a small town where Wells Blue Bunny Ice Cream is made. I grew up in a very loving and active family in a small community. I got my GED in 2003 but during high school I played basketball. I then when to work and worked full time until a couple months after I found out about my first pregnancy. My partner and I are high school sweet hearts and have been together 6 years in January. I have three wonderful, full of life children. Skyler is four and in head start. Ethan is two and keeps me laughing. Byndee is one and is my little “pistol.†I have been a stay at home mom since 2005 and my partner owns his own business. His business is just getting of the ground and he is just starting to get lots of business. I’m a full time student at the University Of Phoenix online which all my classes and course work is online. I do my studying when I can and the only thing I have to worry about doing at a certain time is the assignments due on certain days. I’m getting my Associates Degree in Accounting. My schooling will be done on or around May 2010. I have known for a long time that I wanted to be a surrogate mother. I have never felt such joy and unconditional love for someone and I want to give that gift to a family. I understand how lucky I am to be able to get pregnant so easily, it only took one try for each child. I’m very fertile and that is why I am sure surrogacy, which ever kind, will work for me. Ok so here are the logistics, if you want to call it that. I ask $14,500 to be a surrogate. This amount is negotiable and not set in stone. I do not have health insurance being a stay at home mom and not being married. From what I have researched find insurance to cover surrogacy is not easy. The compensation that I have listed is TOTAL. The only other expenses that I can think of is travel expenses such as lodging and food, and of course if I don’t find insurance to cover surrogacy. So what about communication? I want the family that chooses me to contact me as often as they want before conception happens and during pregnancy. EVERYDAY if that is what makes them comfortable. After baby is born if they want to send me pictures/letters/phone calls that is up to them or vice versa if they want to me to contact them that is their choice. They will be raising this little blessing and will know what is best. Also the family will NEVER EVER hear me call them “intended Parents.†I do not like this expression. THEY ARE THE PARENTS..Not intended parents. I prefer to not work through an agency. I believe that working independently is more of a personal experience. Also, I’m open to any type of surrogacy one requests. I have had all healthy pregnancies. The only complication that I have had is with my first. The cord was wrapped around his neck and the doctor should have taken him c section and decided not to…big mistake. Skyler would have never been in ICU if a c-section was preformed. My other two were completely healthy babies during delivery and at birth. I’m so excited to embark on this journey with a family. Hope to hear from you! Best Wishes, Nicole
