As a child I had blue eyes, blond hair, and was active and imaginative. I was in the gifted and talented program in my school, won the schoolwide spelling bee, and won several medals in interscholastic competitions. My hair has changed to a light brown, but that is the only difference. I still read several books a week, never lose in Scrabble, and love learning new things. I went to college with several academic scholarships including Bright Flight, which is earned through testing in the top 3% on the ACT. I am pursuing a degree in Information Technology at MU. My daughter is just like me and will be testing for the gifted program next fall at the request of her teacher.
