Message from this intended parents

We would like to think of ourselves as two very different individuals brought together through luck, love and good fortune. We are a couple, currently residing in Brixton, in South-West London with roots as far flung as Cape Town and The West Country. Toby is an Architect working out of leafy Putney, whose talents range from designing lakeside masterplans to interior design. In his off-time he loves a good book sci-fi & historical are his favourite, but he’s always happy to go with his mums latest recommendation! Toby also likes to think of himself as a somewhat talented cook and seriously overcaters at dinner parties. Nate is a commercial negotiator for a media firm in Advertising and enjoys a good dance. Tap, Jazz, contemporary and ballet are his favourites and he can spend hours happily watching dance shows, movies or going to classes. Nate also loves running and will challenge anyone to a sprint. Recently qualified, Nate also moonlights as a massage therapist in his spare time. We both love travelling and tend to devote a good amount of time planning holidays and trips abroad to find new food, clothes or ways to relax and connect with each other. How they met? On a warm summers afternoon quite randomly in His local pub in 2010 ... drinks turned into lunch, lunch turned into supper… supper led to another date and another and another. Life has been full of unexpected surprises and each year has given us a new goal. From moving in together in Year 2, buying our first home in year 3, getting married in year 6 and now hopefully creating our family in year 9! It’s surreal for us to think that someone reading this could be the newest member of our family and help us realise our dream of welcoming little Ivy/Edwin into our home. Yes, we have named our little one already blush. Individually we are quite different yet excel in complimentary areas. Nate is particularly strong at maintaining friends’ networks, organisation, finances and seems to have a high emotional sense – probably why he seems to have so many godchildren. Toby is the creator, be that turning friends into family, creating our home or ensuring we pack our lives with meaningful memories and carve out family time. We survive because of those we love. We have a strong family to welcome our children into - and as we say, family is not just about blood it’s about all those people that we have come to love and share lifes journeys with. Just like our soon to arrive children it is important for us to connect and welcome our surrogate into our family. Naturally this process has been super scary for us. That said we have never been more certain of anything since the day we met and got married. We have done the tests, signed up through the agencies and have almost completed the process of creating our embryos… We have never been more ready to meet you, please do ask us anything.
