I am self driven and positive, this is what got me through a cancer diagnosis at 27 and subsequent mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation. I don't want this to define me and want to continue our plans of continuing our family whilst in remission. My husband and I are high school sweethearts. We got together at 17 and were married at 24 before having our son, Chester in 2010 at the age of 26. I am currently not working since completing treatment but am beginning freelance photography in my spare time. My husband, Adam is a an investor and manages our portfolio of shares himself full time. He is a carpenter by trade and has a passion for relating homes, as he did out first home in [removed].

Intended Parents preferences

I was diagnosed with Stage 3 HER2+ Breast Cancer at 27, with all the remission treatment I am unable to start trying for our second child until start 2015. In any case, I am unwilling to risk a recurrence during a pregnancy which could accelerate the return of my type of cancer. Especially as I already have a beautiful 2 year old little boy already.

To the potential Person to change our lives, we have a beautiful little boy who has just turned 2 who we'd love to make the big brother we know he'd be amazing at. We had been trying to get pregnant before discovering that I had breast cancer at 27 and treatment was taken immediately to operate, removing my entire breast before fertility preservation (in the form of an egg pick up) was performed before continuing treatment. We were able to create 11 healthy embryos which were frozen as insurance for potential infertility risks after chemotherapy. My cancer was found to be oestrogen positive and as you can understand, during pregnancy increased oestrogen would put me at higher risk of recurrence. We have no choice but to hope we will find someone willing to assist our situation by some miracle. We are willing to assist in travel and insemination would need to take place at the clinic where our embryos are stored. Knowing that there are 11 embryos of little babies, as amazing and perfect as our little naturally conceived miracle son makes my burning for more children even stronger. I know we are good parents and I feel so happy that our dream may become a reality if we find a surrogate willing to carry our child. All tests were performed on my husband and myself before the egg and sperm specimens created the embryos.
