Hi! We are a couple from Innfield, Meath, eager to start a family together. After my breast cancer diagnosis and treatments, we learned that pregnancy poses risks for me. With this in mind, we’re exploring surrogacy as a way to have a child. I'm an educational psychologist who enjoys working with kids, and my partner Sean shares my desire to be parents. About this intended parents profile

I'm forty one years of age and have a lovely partner called Sean. I met Sean two years ago and prior to that I had never considered having a baby as I didn't want to have a baby on my own. I work as an educational psychologist for the Department of Education in Ireland. Before that I was a school teacher.I love working with children and feel I would be a good mother. I'd love to have a child with Sean and at the moment it looks like surrogacy is my only option if I'm lucky enough to find a volunteer.

Intended Parents preferences

I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year in February 2008. I had chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The advice I am receiving is that a pregnancy for me would not be the safest option given my medical history. I am looking into having embryos frozen with the option of having a surrogate mother. At the moment I'm not even sure if they will be able to harvest eggs from me. I'm just checking if there are people out there who would be willing to be a surrogate mother in the event that I am able to harvest eggs.
