We are a mixed family. My partner is Australian and is close with his family and also with his biological mum. He is from the country and although in the city now keeps close ties with the his childhood friends. To me, he is your typical Australia larrikin a good natured and with good values. I'm half Spanish and half English. I regularly visit my family in Spain and come from a large family. Meals, children and our elderly are the centre of family life. We live in the heart of the city with our son, we have a decent back yard with two cattle dogs, 4 chickens and a duck. I am a scientist and I love nature. We try and eat organic, locally produced food that is free from additives and chemicals.

My partner and i have been trying for three years to conceive, we have been together for nearly 5 years and we plan to marry next year. We have been putting off the wedding hoping to conceive a child of our own. I have a beautiful son already from a previous relationship and I am honoured to be his mother. I spent probably the last of my good fertile years not thinking about men or relationships, as a single mum working very hard to develop my career and to put him through a private school. After being with Jeff for two years at 37 I thought I would be able to conceive as I am very health but it turns out my egg quality is very poor. Now I am 40 and time is running out. I'm environmentally conscious, fit and healthy and I struggled with the idea of assisted fertility treatment- thinking love filled sex, a healthy body and mind matched with the right intention should be enough. My partner is adopted and is very accepting of my son . I always imagined myself with more than one child and feel I fooled myself thinking I had time to have children. We would love to adopt a child in need but it takes so long in Australia (many years).

This is a very difficult decision to make on both sides. We understand there should always be reservations about such big decisions to make sure that this is the right choice for all parties If you are interested in asking more questions we are happy to answer them -all of them. Why should you chose us? We would really appreciate the opportunity to have another child. We are very responsible, loving people in a stable loving relationship. We wont wait too much longer as it would be unfair on the child for age gap to be too big. I love my mum and dad and dont want to leave a child for too many years without the same. We prefer to use a donor who doesn't mind the child knowing the name of the gracious woman that helped us.
