Based in Kilkenny, we are a couple looking to grow our family. We adopted our wonderful son from Mexico and, after 10 years of trying for another child, we're now considering surrogacy. Our son often asks for a sibling, and we want to provide that for him. We’ve faced challenges with IVF and know the adoption process can take many more years. Living in a small village, we cherish family moments and would love to include another child in our lives. About this intended parents profile

We live in a detached house in a small housing estate ( 30 houses) in a small village in the country. I work from home 3 days a week and my husband is in the financial services industry. We have lots of nieces and nephews that we regularly have on sleepovers and love doing family things with our son. Weekends are spent kicking ball and either painting/Playing with cars or general kids stuff.

We have adotpted a beautiful little boy from Mexico who will be 4 soon. We live in Ireland and Adoption is at a complete slow down. 20-30 adoptions a year due to the very slow process that our central authority operate at. Our son needs a sibling and it breaks our hearts that we are unable to provide that for him. We have tried IVF in the past and it hasn't worked. If we leave this any longer we will be too old as we have already been trying for a family for the last 10 years. I turned 40 this year. We are looking for donor egg and sperm as we feel that this will give the best outcome

Message from this intended parents

Our son is now at an age where he is asking why he cannot have a brother or sister to play with. Play dates tend to go on longer than planned as he is having so much fun that he wants "just 5 more minutes... Pleeeeease" We have tried IVF and were unsuccessful. We are waiting to go on a list for a second adoption but that is realistically another 5-6 years away and the child could end up older than our son. To be fair to our son we want him to remain the eldest child and with that in mind we are looking at altruistic surrogacy. The legal system in Ireland states that this is the only type of surrogacy available to us. We would really hope and pray that you would open your heart and become a surrogate for us.
