We are a very happily married couple in our late thirties. I am a housewife but I love to sew and craft. I formally had a career with an airline before I had my boys. My husband is a police officer and we live in a lovely town by the coast in England. We have a good , loving supportive family around us. We are both very active. I swim everyday and the children love to come with me. We never let their disabilities hold us or then back and live our lives to the fullest. Our lives revolve around our children and our nieces and nephews. Family is the most important thing to us.

Intended parents surrogacy preferences

I am unable to carry a baby due to an autoimmune disorder that has caused me to have 8 late miscarriages and a stillbirth. I have 2 sons age 5 and 7 who are both disabled due to being born very prematurely. My health is extremely good whilst on the medication but I have had to be sterilised due to the meds being toxic to a fetus. If I stop the medication I would lose the baby or have another prem delivery . We feel our family is not complete and would like one more child.

Hello, We have struggled with staying pregnant beyond 22 weeks and also lost a daughter at 29 weeks. I had a total of 8 very late pregnancy loses, which has been very hard but we have got through it together. 7 years ago my beautiful son was born. A very big miracle I thought would never hold my own baby in my arms. Unfortunately he was very unwell and then contracted group b strep meningitis and developed a cyst on his brain. This all left him with a type of cerebral palsy called hemiplegia. He can walk and talk, swim and run but is partially paralysed on the left side. He has to try extra hard to do things we all take for granted but he never complains . He is a lovely, happy boy who is desperate for a little brother or sister. We had our second son 5 years ago and he was born 3 months prematurely . He has been affected more severly and although he can walk, he has no speech and is a more like a 1 or 2 year old than a child his age. We call him our cuddle monster, as he loves his kisses and cuddles. We are looking to have one more child by gestational surrogate , as it is not possible for me to carry a healthy baby to term or to undergo egg collection due to the medication I must take . Both of my boys fought for life for months after birth and we are so proud of them and everything they have achieved. We defiantly have room for one more child in our hearts.
