Why We/I Want A Surrogate Mother, Egg Donor Or Sperm Donor:

We have been blessed to have our own frozen embryos, but after many attempts, and now due to medical reasons, Lynn is no longer able to attempt a pregnancy. Surrogacy is now our last chance to have our own child.

Description Of Us:

Lynn and I have had a wonderful life together. We've always wanted to have children, even though we had a lot of fertility challenges to overcome. One day we hope to share our happiness with our own child.

My Letter To Surrogate Mother, Egg Donor Or Sperm Donor:

Hi... I'd like to start by thanking you for considering us. Offering yourself as a surrogate is a wonderfuly noble thing, and we hope that you find the happiness you are looking for, hopefully by hosting our baby :) Our journey started in 2003, and we've had a lot of ups and downs, and now we're at a point where we don't know what to do next. We hope that by telling you our story, you might be able to help. Me and my wife Lynn got married in 2001. She was 32 at the time, and we knew that we would start family planning soon. In 2002, I was diagnosed with cancer and had to go through chemo and radiation. The cure rate for my cancer was 95% and has been in remission for many years now. At the time, we asked if we should freeze my sperm, and they said it wasn't necessary (something I found out wasn't true later on). After that, my sperm count became low enough that it would make it difficult for us to have a baby naturally. At the same time, my wife had polycystic ovaries, and also had a cyst removed. After her surgery, we tried IUI unsuccessfully until 2007. In 2007, we decided to try IVF out of a clinic in Bellingham, Washington with a doctor who specialized in Lynn's condition. During our first egg retrieval, we had 21 eggs! I can't recall the exact number, but I believe around 18 of them became fertilized. Our first and second attempt did not work, but in February 2009 our third attempt resulted in a pregnancy. Unfortunately, at 7 weeks, the embryo stopped growing, and Lynn had to go through a miscarriage. We had 3 more eggs left and went for our one more attempt, but it didn't work. In December 2009, we decided to go through one more full cycle. We ended up with 11 eggs! Unfortunately, again the first attempt did not work. In January 2010, Lynn had a build up of spinal fluid and had to have a lumbar tap, and blood patch. It was very complicated, and misdiagnosed at first, and Lynn spent 2 weeks in the hospital. We've been told that this probably happened because of the fertility medication we were taking, and it's starting to sink in now that Lynn may never become pregnant. At the end of the day, my wife is the most precious thing in the world to me, and I would never risk having anything happen to her. But we still have these 8 embryos. We are also now in our 40s and know that the next few decisions need to be the right ones. Our biggest concern is time. I just turned 39, and Lynn will be turning 41 in June. Thank you very much for reading through this lengthy letter and hearing our story. If you live in our area, we would really enjoy taking you for dinner to hear about your journey. Warm regards, Raja and Lynn
